Property description

Location, location, location, you could not ask for more. Tenterden really is your perfect English market town with its level High Street and mixture of imposing Manor houses, Georgian and Victorian homes and not forgetting the chocolate box cottages; you cannot fail to be impressed. If you have never been to Tenterden it will be a real treat with its vast selections of bespoke restaurants, shops, and pubs all at your disposal.

If you have always wanted to live in a character cottage then we have the property for you. The home is located in a popular lane in the centre of the town. The rear courtyard garden has been landscaped and now offers a newly built studio/office all in keeping, and offers you that extra reception room to use as you require. The home is believed to date back to early Victorian times and is steeped in history with exposed brick wood and open fire place adding character to this home. The cottage is decorated in a neutral theme giving the feeling of light and space. The lounge has an impressive wood burning stove ideal when the nights draw in. The kitchen is just wonderful with its bespoke units and work surfaces; all designed in a country cottage style, with views over the courtyard. Upstairs you have one double bedrooms and the family bathroom which continues the cottage theme.

From the cottage you only have a short walk to access the surrounding countryside, if you are the type of person who enjoys a good walk then there is no shortage of paths and trails to explore.

What the Owner says:

We brought this house due to its position, the fact you have everything on your doorstep which has proven to be fantastic for us.
We have always bought period properties and as soon as we walked in and saw the wood burning stove and the abundance of character we knew we had to have it.
Since we have been here we have decorated, added new carpets, changed the hearth and in the rear garden we have completely transformed it with down lights, tiles, plants and shrubs and most importantly we have build a studio which we love to use as a dining room all year round.
