LOCATION Low Herdley is situated in a rural setting within the hamlet of Coanwood, just 6 miles from the town of Haltwhistle. Haltwhistle is an excellent base for exploring the local area with many historic attractions and some fantastic walking/cycling to be had nearby. The famous Roman Wall - Hadrians Wall is only 1.5 miles away. From Haltwhistle there are bus and train routes east towards the market town of Hexham, historic Corbridge and the city of Newcastle. The market town itself offers good shopping facilities, traditional country inns and restaurants. In summer there is a super leisure centre with outdoor swimming and children's play areas. The historic city of Carlisle is less than 18 miles to the West and Hexham and is less than 20 miles to the east making both accessible via the A69. 

DIRECTIONS From Hexham, travel West along the A69, past Haltwhistle and turn left signposted Alston/Coanwood, follow the signs for Coanwood. When you reach Coanwood turn left, go past the old school (white building on right hand side) and over the old railway until you reach the gate leading into Low Herdley which can be identified by our board. 

CHARGES Northumberland County Council tax band B. 

SERVICES Mains electricity and water are connected. Septic tank drainage. Oil fired central heating to radiators, supplemented by the stove in the kitchen and also supplying the domestic hot water.
