Property description

This charming cottage is a real find, even the most seasoned local could be forgiven for not knowing of the existence of these former farm cottages which you will find tucked away but still just moments’ walk from Milton Regis High Street. Here you will find an array of local shops to suit your daily needs so it is ideal to grab a pint of milk or to pop in to the pub for a drink at the ever popular ‘Stumble Inn’ on a Sunday afternoon. That is not to say that you are in an isolated village, in fact you are perfectly placed for a choice of supermarkets with Morrisons approximately ¼ mile away. Sittingbourne Railway Station is just 0.6 mile’s walk so this home is a great choice for the commuter. Those who drive to work will quickly be on A249 and onto the M2 or M20.

The house itself has retained its period charm, with the lounge offering that well-loved ‘chocolate box’ feel, with wooden beams and exposed brick walls but has also been amended to make room for a separate dining space. This means that you can still have friends over for a sit-down meal to show off your new home. Bedroom 1 can be your retreat of an evening after a long soak in the large bath with a glass of red.

If you have a busy work schedule and not enough time to look after a larger garden but still want to enjoy some outside space, then this sunny courtyard garden will be just the spot for you.

What the Owner says:

This was the first house I viewed when I starting looking for a home some thirteen years ago and I knew it was the one straight away! It was important for me to have a small garden, where I grow all sorts of veg most years and I really wanted a freehold property so I did not want to buy a flat. The second bedroom has proved to be an ideal home office for me, but I think it would make an equally good child’s bedroom.

Most Victorian houses do not have much parking nearby, so the car park in the road is good. When I moved here I travelled the county for work so this was the perfect location, with easy access to the motorways.
