Property description

Every now and again the opportunity arises to purchase a little bit of history and with this beautiful charming cottage that moment is now. Located right in the heart of Gomshall village, this home oozes character and is also enviably located for access to the station as well as the other amenities. It is in a lovely picturesque village with the Tillingbourne River flowing through making it an idyllic setting. We have been told that this wonderful home was originally a coach house and was converted into houses for workers at The Gomshall Tannery many moons ago. Inside, there is a wealth of quirkiness and space with some superb features including uniquely crafted ceilings and walls. The lounge and dining areas offer some great entertaining space as well as somewhere to escape to and enjoy peace and quiet. The kitchen is well designed with a very bespoke feel and it is effortless to see how the current owner has made the very best use of the space on offer. Upstairs there are two generous double bedrooms as well as a stunning bathroom that will leave you speechless. If you are one for a well earned soak, you may struggle to tease yourself away from here. There is even the super handy addition of a loft space. Outside this property comes into its own with a fabulous rear garden that backs onto the Tillingbourn. Fast forward to the warmer months and imagine lazy days at the bottom of the garden next to the stream watching the world go by. BLISS

What the Owner says:

I moved here because I completely fell in love with the location. I loved the fact it was tucked away in a village position yet still offered train links into London. I also loved the fact that it was in an area of outstanding natural beauty. I loved the Idea of the river too and all the walks on the doorstep. As a keen dog walker, it was a dream come true in terms of location.
Since living here I have replaced the kitchen, modernised the bathroom and also had a new boiler fitted around three years ago. I'm actually moving out of the area entirely which is my only motivation for selling. I hope the new owners will love it here just as much as I have.
