Property description

Location, location, location is the order of the day with this beautifully presented period cottage, with a wonderful sense of light and space, this is a home you can be truly proud to show off to friends and family.

The snug lounge is a delightful relaxing space to curl up in front of the open fire with perhaps a glass of wine or two. The open plan dining and kitchen areas create a great sociable space so you aren't ignoring your guests while cooking up a storm. French doors lead out into the rear garden from the kitchen so you can extend the living space in the warmer months onto the patio with a spot of alfresco dining. With two double bedrooms and a luxurious bathroom, you and your guests will feel pampered and rested after a long walk through the nearby nature reserve or across the South Downs. The addition of a loft room to the second floor shows that this house has so much to offer.

Located on the edge of the historic county town of Lewes, which is situated in the recently formed South Downs National Park, you have easy access to the coast and countryside. There is a mixture of independent and High Street shops, restaurants, cafe and traditional pubs to make for a pleasant evening out. The mainline train station offers direct links to London and Brighton and you can catch a bus at the end of the road on a route between Brighton and Tunbridge Wells.

What the Owner says:

Having relocated to Lewes from London just a few years ago, we knew we were looking for a period family home with character. It was important to us to have a property that offers space with bright rooms. Finding this house was a real bonus as the previous owners had done all the hard work. The presentation of the property was and still is (in our opinion) simply exquisite. To have the nature reserve right on our doorstep, which takes you up onto the South Downs, has been a fantastic treat from the stresses and strains of everyday life. We have enjoyed the vibrant and social scene of Lewes itself and know that the new owners will also benefit from the town and house to create a wonderful lifestyle from this location.
