Property description

Located within the hugely popular hamlet of Upper Chute, Well Cottage is a most attractive three bedroom, Grade II Listed, semi detached thatched cottage.

The accommodation is surprisingly spacious with a huge amount of period character and charm including eyebrow windows, exposed structural beam, timbered walls and ceilings. Within the sitting room is a fine Inglenook fireplace with a heavy beamed bressumer and free-standing log burning stove. The kitchen has been remodelled and refitted with a range of cream coloured country-style units and is accessible immediately off the dining room/breakfast room, which also has a direct access into the garden; from this room is a second staircase leading to the third bedroom which would make a very useful study/office or hobby room. The entrance hall gives access to a ground floor bathroom, separate shower room and the main staircase to the first floor. The main bedroom is an excellent size with a vaulted ceiling and space to create fitted furniture/wardrobes. The second
bedroom already has a large store cupboard/wardrobe although the floor space within the room may be enlarged by utilising some of the open space available off the first floor
landing. Central heating is provided by an oil fired boiler to a water filled radiator system.

The cottage is approached from Forest Lane over an unadopted lane. The main drive and parking area is accessed by double gates. There is a second drive large enough to park a car which gives access to a detached garage.

The gardens are located mainly to the front and are of a true cottage garden nature with lawns flower beds, specimen shrubs and mature trees. There is some garden located to the side and rear of the cottage. There is pedestrian access from both the front and rear drive/parking areas.
