Property description

If you fancy owning your very own piece of history then this detached Victorian gem will be right up your street.

If you have always dreamt of sharing your surroundings with wildlife then you will be catered for here as the current owners regularly see deer and pheasants meandering regularly around the grounds of the estate! They also enjoy fantastic walks to Coldharbour from here and can certainly vouch for the commuting having done it daily since they've been here. Inside, you can relax in style and enjoy cosy evenings in front of a roaring open fire in the lounge. If entertaining is more your thing then you will love the layout of the kitchen and dining areas as they are open plan and make socialising effortless. The kitchen area has been wonderfully designed with solid oak work-tops, soft closing drawers and units, high quality appliances and a fabulous Belfast sink. There is even a utility area the size of some people's kitchens and a cloakroom downstairs too. If you find yourself with a house full, there is plenty of room upstairs for a growing family with all bedrooms being a generous size, so no fighting over who gets which. The bathroom is also a rather inviting place for that well earned soak. When it's time for some sunshine you can head outside to enjoy a family barbecue on the patio or set up the sun loungers on the decking and enjoy a glass of wine or two. With plenty of parking for everyone to come and visit, this home really does have it all and with no onward chain!

What the Owner says:

We moved here from Woking and completely fell in love with the location as well as the charm and character and as soon as we pulled into the impressive gates we were hooked! We were in awe of the history of this imposing Victorian Lodge house to the Smallburgh Estate, built in 1885. Since moving here we have replaced the kitchen, re-carpeted and completely re-decorated every room, as well as insulating the internal walls (not that you need it, with four fireplaces!) Living here at the foot of the Surrey Hills has given us the chance to enjoy the country lifestyle, with great local pubs only a short walk away.
