Property description

This Edwardian home is tucked up the top of Gordon Road so the walk to South Woodford station is easy for your daily commute. The walk itself takes you through Elmhurst Park which is one of the prettiest parks in the area. This home was inside the admission area for Churchfields school in 2016, which has a current outstanding Ofsted rating too, so it could be the perfect family home. This property combines modern fixtures and fittings that blend perfectly with the charm and character of the period, looking stylish and bright. To the ground floor the lounge at the front has a Yorkstone fireplace, a lovely place to relax and catch up at the end of the day. The dining room overlooks the rear garden and I can imagine many a dinner party with friends or guests filled with fun and laughter.

The main bedroom is bright and spacious and has an Antique French fireplace and also comes with an en-suite bathroom. The bedroom on the second floor provides some versatility and could be used as an office or a guest room if you so wish. There are a whole host of amenities in the area, including local shops, restaurants, parks and supermarkets. Epping forest provides all the scenery you could wish for, for seasonal walks, bike rides and jogging. Westfields in Stratford can be reached in approximately 25 minutes and with the station so close it would feel like London is literally on your doorstep

What the Owner says:

This was our first home and we chose this location having researched the local area. For commuting it could not be easier, and it's a real bonus especially in the colder weather as its just a short walk. We both loved the charm of this property such as the original coving which is in great condition. Since we have lived here we have freshened up the dining room and also changed the bathroom.

We thought about extending the kitchen across the back of the property, but our plans have changed and we are moving outside the area which means we are able to offer this chain free.
