The church is believed to date from Norman times and is famous for two usual stone figures on the church tower and for a stained glass window commemorating an Oxford don who was attacked by a wild boar on Shotover Hill.

From Oxford take the A40 east bound to the Headington
roundabout, then take the third exit signposted A4142 onto the ring road. After about ¾ mile take the left hand fork to
Horspath and on entering the village, after passing a garage
on the right, turn left and then immediately right into Church
Road. Pass the church and then take the next right into Butts
Road and Rectory Farmhouse will be found after a short distance on the left hand side
