Property description
Pulling onto the double drive you will immediately notice there is plenty of room to park multiple cars off the road. As soon as you get to the front door you will be in awe of the views over Canterbury. The current owners added a seating area to the front, where you can sit out in the summer months with a glass of wine.
Inside there is also plenty of room that any family would need. From the lounge where you can relax of an evening, and a separate dining area to entertain friends with dinner parties.
Upstairs there are four bedrooms, one having an en-suite bathroom, meaning you will not feel rushed in the mornings whilst getting ready for work. You can use one of the bedrooms as a separate study, however the current owners have converted half of the garage to provide a useful space where you can either work from home. This garage conversion has its own separate shower room and toilet, meaning that if you ever have guests visiting this would be the ideal place for them. The owners have recently replaced the double glazing, soffits and fascias, have laid an attractive new drive, and have installed a new boiler and solar panels to the rear of the home. With a short walk to the City centre, you can be in the heart of the cultural City within minutes.
Planning permission has been granted to build a detached home in an adjacent garden downhill from the property
What the Owner says:
Previously in London we were looking to relocate to the area for work. We were so excited to view this home from the minute we saw the details and knew it would be perfect for us. As soon as we got to the front door and turned around, we fell in love with the view over Canterbury and particularly of the Cathedral. We converted half of the double garage into a home office space for my partner to work, and as the garage is detached, it enables the clients to come and go without going through the home. We also use it for guests when the main house is full up. One of the best things about living here has been the peace; often the loudest thing you hear is the birdsong!
