Located in a fantastic semi-rural location, this home has the perfect balance, access to the local village and the surrounding countryside. Built in approximately 1920 it was extended in 1998 to provide a spacious and lovely family home.
There is plenty of off road parking and a garage that is built with cavity walls. Inside the character of the cottage remains, the kitchen retains its solid fuel Aga, giving off warmth and comfort in the chillier times of the year (also great for drying washing!) The adjoining breakfast area is ideal for getting together with family and planning the day ahead. If entertaining is high on your list then there is a formal dining room (currently used as a snug) with an open fire place, just right for holding a dinner party. For those that want to work from home there is an office that enjoys an outlook over the rear garden. A spacious lounge warmed by gas central heating and a gas fire, opens out to a fantastic sized conservatory which is over 23ft long.
Upstairs the bedrooms are all fantastic sizes, each able to hold a double bed with ease. Originally built to make the most of this beautiful area, every bedroom has clear views across to Tennyson Downs this has been carefully thought out so that the occupants can wake up each morning and see the countryside changing throughout the seasons. Bedroom one has the benefit of an en-suite shower room to accompany the family bathroom. With all of this on offer this home needs to be viewed!
What the Owner says:
It was the character and the location that drew us to this spot. The village is not far away and the local beaches are also easily accessible.
We have enjoyed the garden which surrounds the home and has a cottage feel with fruit trees and shrubs, it is a private place to enjoy the sunshine throughout the day.
We have enjoyed our years in this home but feel its now time to move on to pastures new.
