Details    A magnificent, fastidiously modernised, four bedroomed property with a number of features that sets this house apart from others. This super family home offers four bedrooms, two wet rooms, and a unique double ended bath situated in the main bedroom. Some exceptional features include a wine cellar, an open plan high spec kitchen that looks out over a decked tiered garden, accessible via full width by-fold doors, and a home office at the rear of the garden which is currently being used as a Pilates studio/ gym. An internal inspection is highly recommended to appreciate the scale and quality of this impressive property.

Owners comments    I have lived at Chase Side Avenue since August 2001. I remember meeting Vera at my first viewing who had lived happily here since 1959 and brought up her family of three boys. Vera was very forthright with her views and said she would only sell her house to someone who would modernise it with care and style. I'm sure if Vera saw the house today she would be delighted with the efforts my wife and I have made. The extensive modernisation, which included both a rear ground floor, attic extension and installation of a wine cellar were completed in 2012. I must confess we got carried away and became obsessed with using only the best quality fixtures and fittings. The project lasted 18 months and my budget was \"thrown out of the window\" as any viewing will clearly show. I recall going to see the progress two months into the works and upon entering the property and looking up to see the blue sky and no rear wall! It was taken back to a basic shell and has essentially been rebuilt.

Owners comments    Very little remains of the old house or the gardens. Basically it is a new house. Since 2001 the area has experienced considerable gentrification. Schools have improved to an excellent Ofsted standard. Local shops (Co-op & Tesco Metro) and Cafes along with a renewed train station and a recently built new medical centre have opened. Wimbledon town centre is a 15 minute walk away via the beautiful Dundonald Park. Raynes Park is just a 10 minute walk away with a large Waitrose supermarket, mainline train station (serving Waterloo) and countless restaurants. The A3 is a stones throw away with easy access to the M25, M3, A4 and Heathrow. We will be sad to leave this beautiful, modern, and comfortable house but know the new owners will enjoy living here as much as we have!
