Boasting panoramic sea views from its seafront position is this substantial six bedroom home.
The accommodation of the home is laid out over three floors, and should any buyers need, the lower ground floor gives huge scope to be used as a separate annex if required.
The views are best admired from the central lounge and master bedroom, the former of which has access out directly to its elevated balcony where on a summers evening you can take in the twinkling lights of the south coast and listen to the waves.
To the rear of the home is a family sized kitchen / dining area, which also has access to another balcony and steps down to the rear garden. Three of the six bedrooms are situated on the first floor and are served by a modern family bathroom. Two of these rooms offer varying views down the Solent so you can keep an eye on all the water activity.
To the lower ground floor are the balance of the bedrooms and a bathroom with both shower and bath facilities. An additional room of substantial proportions is currently used as a hobby and storeroom. This room measuring some 19’0’ by 14’0 could give ideal space for a kitchen/diner to serve a potential separate annex subject to relevant permissions.
The rear garden offers a large workshop, which is perfect for storage of a small boat or other water sports equipment, ideal for a location such as this. The balance of the garden is laid to lawn with attractive flower borders and is perfect for buyers seeking an attractive outside space without hours of maintenance.
To the front of the home is a driveway offering space for two cars, and given the location and the beautiful beaches and walks on your doorstep, in your leisure time you can happily leave the cars at home.
This home offers everything you could need in home by the sea, and is offered for sale chain free.
What the Owner says:
When we viewed this property in 1991 for a friend we were not looking to buy a property, we already had a holiday home in Seaview but we decided to have a look, we drove by and were not that impressed but once we were in the door we were hooked our children described as entering the ‘tardis’- the spaciousness, the views and, as we were to learn over the years, the flexibility of use. So we went for broke and bought it, ultimately downsizing in London and moving the main home to the Island.
It can be all things, a post wedding venue with accommodation for adults and the young, host a 100 for drinks, or a snug family home for entertaining one’s friends. Its design has stood the test of time, yes we have made some minor alterations like changing a bathroom around to incorporate a shower and laid out an easy care the garden but nothing structural.
So why are we reluctantly selling? Age has caught up with us, our children have all got married and have families of their own who have not been able to enjoy living by the sea in the way our children did coming for weekends throughout the year. So regrettably we have decided that it is time to pass it on to someone else who can enjoy the house and the fun and flexibility it offers, as we have. They will never tire of the ever-changing view and even perhaps enjoy the model railway layout in the basement.
