Property description

What the sellers says:

"A mid-terraced, two bedroomed house in a quiet residential road.

The property appears to be in good structural and decorative order, has gas central heating, and has been well-maintained by myself since I purchased the house in early 1991.

I love using the traditional open fire-place which is in good working order.

The house was newly double-glazed in February 2011 - by Anglian Windows Ltd, and an Everest front door was fitted in 2010 - long guarantees for both.

Large storage space in the recently-developed loft area, which has two Velux windows.

Recently-turfed, south-facing, established back garden,with a paved patio area 10 ft x 20ft

The house is feehold , chain-free and is sold with 'vacant possession'.

The insurance rate is relatively low. I pay £147 per annum for house and contents insurance with Aviva - with an excess of £200 if I claim

There are three very pleasant parks nearby - two, just five mins walk away, and a third, Friary Park is just 15 minutes away.

Ten minutes by car or 15 by bike into the open countryside and the Nature Reserve at Totteridge, and twelve mins by car to reach Hertfordshire farmland.

Transport links to central London are speedy and efficient - 25 minutes to Kings Cross, St Pancras and to Leicester Square from Arnos Grove on the Picadilly Line (5 mins away by bus, 12 minutes walking). Oalkeigh Park and New Southgate mainline railway stations are each 15 minutes walk away or 10 minutes by buses (which are a couple of minutes walk away from the house). Totteridge and Whetstone tube station on the Northern Line is ten minutes away by bus.

Excellent local bus services to Whetstone, Finchley, High Barnet, Southgate and East Barnet villages, and to Palmers Green, Wood Green and Walthamstow.

Good shops and many excellent restaurants can be found in Whetstone, five minutes away by bus.

High quality Primary and Secondary schools locally, the London Borough of Barnet, having some of the best OFSTED-rated schools in the country.

Neighbours are friendly, helpful where needed, but non-intrusive.

Were I staying on in London rather than retiring, I would not want to leave this house at all".
