extending to approximately 198 acres in total with 69.3 acres
of policy woodlands historically planted to protect the amenity of Murdostoun Castle. The farmland is in 6 enclosures and is predominantly Class 4(1) according to the James Hutton Institute land classification maps. The land is currently down to grass. The fences are not in stockproof condition.
The woodlands are a mixture of mature broadleaf and conifer
species.

Owned but Excluded
Shown on the sale plan in yellow is an area extending to 15.7
acres which is owned by our clients but excluded from the sale. This area is predominantly woodland with a derelict sawmill building within.

Directions
From the M8 (east or west bound), take junction 6 and head
south on the A73 signposted for Lanark/Wishaw/Motherwell/
Airdrie. After approximately 2 miles, at the roundabout take the 1st exit onto Carlisle Road and take the next left for Shawstonfoot Road. After a further mile, turn left onto Murdostoun Road and the access via Murdostoun Castle driveway is the next junction on the right hand side.
