Property description
Situated in the popular village of Rookley on the outskirts of Newport, this three bedroom detached bungalow is set in a quiet road offering a semi-rural setting with plenty of countryside walks, a good local pub, 'The Chequers' and a useful Co-op.
This home offers bright and spacious accommodation which includes an 18'4 lounge with distant views, 3 bedrooms, a modern kitchen, double glazed conservatory and sunny secluded garden to the rear. There is also the added benefit of a garage and off road parking for the family vehicles. Rookley is a short drive from Newport, Carisbrooke, Godshill and the picturesque South Coast of the island. It is also well served by bus routes towards Newport, Sandown, Ventnor and Ryde.
Owners Comment
We chose this property because it is very light, surprisingly roomy and is close, but not too close, to Newport so handy for work and shopping. We have found the flexibility of layout that a bungalow offers to be very useful, and the ample parking space to be a great relief. I particularly like the kitchen with its outlook towards the Downs and the adjoining extra space in the lobby for an extra freezer and growing my seedlings.
It is nice to be able to drive to so many interesting places so easily, being located in the centre of the island and we have spent many happy times at the seaside, strolling in the countryside and taking in the views. We have also enjoyed having a pleasant garden to eat and relax in when not feeling so energetic.
